Every body part is vital for it to operate well. The hands are used for holding and the feet for walking, and these are simple functions that without it the body can not carry out the way it should be. There is some part of the body that even if it is lost, the man is still able to move. If he loses one hand, he still can make utilize of the other hand. If he lose a foot, he can use a wheelchair or crutches to replace the lost foot, but there is one part of the body that doesn't have an alternative when it is damaged, the hip. It calls for a hip replacement surgery in order for the man to move and function normally all over again.
Hip replacement surgery is necessitated by the advent of suffering and discomfiture arising from hip arthritis. The most common type of arthritis is the osteoarthritis. This is the simple wear and tear of the joint cartilage. This is the connective flexible tissue that maintains the joined bones from hitting each other.
In automobiles too, you can see the same strategy where rubber cushions are placed between moving parts to prevent them from harshly rubbing against each other. You will see a number of of these kinds of cartilages in the rib cage, the knees, and the elbow and anywhere where there are bones connected, there is the cartilage. The ear and the nose are good examples of this bone stiffer than a muscle and yet softer than a bone.
Some symptoms of arthritis are pain in movement. Some patients have very constrained range of activity because of the pain that the arthritis gives him. It is also very prevalent among sufferers to limp when they walk because of the pain, and when you are suffering with it, it is always that the hip is stiff.
Patients suffering from osteoarthritis, who are to be put under surgery, may be provided valuable advises by the doctor prior to the surgery. A good physical exercise and weight loss program will be a huge advantage, and if this doesn't work then the hip replacement surgery will certainly have to take place.
As much as possible, it's better not to opt for surgery unless badly needed. There are pros and cons to whatever your choice will be. Hip arthritis can be annoying and painful. Well, if pains gets worse, maybe that's the time you'll have to consider an operation.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree more with your suggestions. There are other types of diseases that will lead to hip surgery. My mother has avascular necrosis in her hip and after trying several methods to relieve pain it has came down to total hip replacement surgery. It seems like a scary solution but I'm confident that she will finally be able to live a full life after this.
